Recently something strange is happening in my neighborhood, strange because my neighborhood is usually safe and quiet. Usually safe is because there are nearby shop houses which will sell their ware till late in the nights. The eateries is full of people eating throughout the late nights till 12 ~ 1:00 am. It is safe to come home during the wee hours.
Where on earth can you find people coming home in the wee morning hours and still be safe?

I think only in Singapore, we can enjoy such security.
The strange thing that happened last week, in the wee hours about 12:30 midnight while asleep, I heard a loud loud thud from my 25th floor, sound like something hard crashes on the ground floor. I thought perhaps someone has thrown it down the rubbish chute.
The next morning all was quiet until when I came reach home did I know that a flower pot had fallen from a upper floor and damaged the roof of the link way below the apartment. It is very scaring to know that it is not safe to walk on uncovered link way and below the apartment, any thing can fall over our head at any time.
Under the Housing Lease Clause 2 (1)(c), whereby the owner are not to place or permit to be placed any thing or objects in the flat or the common areas or any part of the Building so as to create an obstruction or a danger or trap to occupiers or visitors.
If you commit a breach of this covenant, the Housing Authority is empowered to compulsorily acquire your flat.
Housing Authority takes a very serious view of such irresponsible acts of the residents which endanger the safety of any member of the public. Housing Authority will not hesitate to recover possession of any sold flat if the lessee, his spouse or occupier fails to heed such notice. To prevent any unfortunate incident, we are reminded to refrain at all times from placing potential killer objects at any location in our apartment or the common area in a manner which may endanger the safety of others.
We must ensure a better and safe environment not only for others but also for our own safety. That is our responsibility as a good neighbor to love our neighbor as we will loves ourselves.
