Many travelers wishes to bring food home after the holidays overseas and did not know about the restrictions on what you can bring in from overseas.
The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) is responsible for maintaining high food safety standards in Singapore. You can follow these guidelines on the types, quantities and sources of food that you can bring into Singapore.

Meat
Food Type: Beef (chilled, frozen, processed or canned)
Countries from which food can be brought in directly: Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Uruguary
Mutton (chilled, frozen, processed or canned)
Countries from which food can be brought in directly: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Uruguay, USA
Pork (chilled, frozen, processed or canned)
Countries from which food can be brought in directly: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, The Netherlands, USA
Personal Allowance: A total of 5 kg per person of beef, mutton, pork and poultry

Seafood
Fish products (except frozen cooked crabmeat, frozen cooked prawn meat & live or frozen oysters)
Countries from which food can be brought in directly: All countries
Personal Allowance: 5 kg per person (provided that the total quantity of all seafood products does not exceed 5 kg per person)

Live or frozen oysters
Countries from which food can be brought in directly: Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, New Zealand, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, USA
Frozen cooked crabmeat & frozen cooked prawn meat
Countries from which food can be brought in directly : All countries
Personal Allowance: 2 kg per person (provided that the total quantity of all seafood products does not exceed 5 kg per person)

Hen Eggs
Countries from which food can be brought in directly: Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, USA
Personal Allowance: Up to 30 eggs per person
Fresh fruits & vegetables
Countries from which good can be brought in directly: All countries. However a phytosanitary certificate is required for fresh fruits from Latin American and Pacific island
Personal Allowance: Small, reasonable quantities hand carried for personal consumption
Processed Food Products ( all food products excluding meat and seafood products, fresh fruits and vegetables)
Countries from which food can be brought in directly: All countries
Personal Allowance: Total weight or volume does not exceed 5 kg or litres and total value is not more than S$100.00 per person
