Lifestyles Ideas Management - Octopus ahead!

This is a letter written by Leo Mun Sang which I picked it up from The Forum printed in The Straits Times dated April 18, 2008.
A few days ago, I had an amazing encounter; I saw an octopus behind the wheel of a car. It used its head and shoulder to hold its mobile phone and while it was talking, its right arm was dangling a cigarette out of the window. It steered with its left arm and as it was trying to reverse. I guessed it was using its left foot to shift gear and its right foot to work on the pedals. I could clearly see the octopus perform effortlessly as its windscreen was not tinted beyond the regulation level, as there are seemingly many driverless cars on the road nowadays. I believe we have enough rules and regulations to keep animals and spirits off the road, but I think they get away with it because of lack of enforcement. The next time I am on the road, I wish I could also have another pair of hands so I could take a photo of these amazing animals.

My colleagues have the habits too of speaking while driving on the phone and being the back-seat passenger, I am a little worried what will really happen if something is amiss. Sometimes, we put our lives in someone’s hand and unknowingly we can land up in hot soup because the driver was speaking on the phone and not paying enough attention on the on-coming cars at the rear, it happen to be an octopus. “Bang” suddenly we are thrown off and then up in Heaven before our appointed time, without even saying our “goodbyes” to our beloved ones.
